BELMONT - William Edward Medlin, 49, died March 27, 2008, at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, and was the son of Jenelle Pruett Medlin Steinke of Surfside Beach, S.C. and the late William Edward Medlin, Sr.
Interment is private.
A memorial service with the Rev. Michael Horne officiating will be held 5 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Forest Baptist Church in Gastonia.
Pete loved his family and friends, his motorcycle and playing his guitar. Most of all, he loved listening to music.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Les Steinke of Surfside Beach, S.C.; sisters, Robin Lowe and husband Leonard of Mount Holly and Sherry Chapman of Belmont and companion Richard Morrow; stepbrother, Tad Steinke of Boone; nephews, Colby and Quinton Lowe of Mount Holly; niece, Brianna Steinke of Boone; his beloved pet bulldog "Jet" and loads of friends.
His father peceded him in death.
