Hey Sam, How's it going? Long time no see. I've been in California nearly 30 years now. I can't believe it. My daughter is going to the University of Denver. Are you close to there? Let me know how you're doing. Take care, Tom

I remember one day during our sophomore year Sharon and I passed each other in a hallway. Classes were in session so it was just the two of us. We didn't know each other but as we passed she stopped and said to me "smile, it can't be that bad". Actually she was just seeing my natural expression, which that incident told me a lot about, but I've always remembered that and appreciated her words of intended encouragment. It's a shame there's no way I can tell her that now.
