
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Robert Lee Landers, who has left us on October 7, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Known to many as the beloved owner of Stanley Florist for 47 years, Robert's love for creating beautiful flowers brought joy to so many lives.
Born on June 16, 1956, in Greene County, Tennessee, Robert was a proud member of the Stanley Pentecostal Church and was a familiar face always dressed in his signature shorts. His dedication to his community and his passion for his work will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Left to cherish Robert's memories are his sisters, Judy Lackey (Thomas) and Helen Reinhardt; great aunt, Roxie Rector; nieces and nephew, Wesley Lackey (Ashley), Tina Finney, Barbara Davis (Del), Kimberly Petrillo, Casey Zonnevylle (Tom), Savannah Smith (Aaron), and other numerous great nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jo Helen Landers; sisters, Mary Sue Fish (Terril) and Phyllis Landers (David); nephews, Steve Jenkins, Raymond Story, Eric Story and Adam Lackey.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the First Baptist Church, 409 Old Mt Holly Rd., Stanley, NC, 28164, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A funeral service in celebration of Robert's life will be held at the church starting at 6:00 pm. A private graveside service will follow at a later date.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Join us as we come together to honor his life and legacy.
