DALLAS - Toney Lane Jenkins, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hos-pital with his loving family by his side. 

He was born in Gaston County and was preceded in death by his father, Frank Jenkins and his adoptive par-ents, Rev. Walter and Virginia Jenkins Eades. 

Mr. Jenkins was a graduate of East Gaston High School, was a truck driver for many years and was last a driver for ADS Trucking Company, former Fire Chief of the Spencer Mountain Road Volunteer Fire Department and attended Maiden Church of God.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Rita Price Jenkins; mother, Doris Iverson of Stanley; one son, Phillip Jenkins and wife Amber of Gastonia; one daughter, Stephanie Jenkins of Gastonia; one step-son, Jeffrey Autry of Gasto-nia; one granddaughter, Ryleigh Autry; one brother, Frank Jenkins of Dallas; three sisters, Rhonda McPeters of Dallas, Sheila Webb and husband Jeff of Belmont, Annette Iverson of Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 W. Trade Street, Dallas.

Celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maiden Church of God, 107 N. 3rd Avenue, Maiden with the Rev. David Price officiating.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Long Creek Memorial Cemetery, Dallas.
